Krishna College Of Pharmacy

KCT’s Krishna College of Pharmacy, Karad, was established in 2006 by the late Hon. Jaywantrao Bhosale, Founder of Krishna Charitable Trust, with the aim of providing quality pharmacy education to students, especially from rural areas.

The spacious college building, well-equipped laboratories, resourceful library, and all necessary amenities took shape under the dynamic guidance of Dr. Sureshrao Bhosale, Chairman & Managing Trustee of Krishna Charitable Trust.

The college is approved by PCI, New Delhi, and DTE, Mumbai, and is affiliated with MSBTE, Mumbai, and DBATU, Lonere. In the monitoring inspection of our college for the academic year 2021-22 onwards, we received an excellent remark from MSBTE, Mumbai.

Pharmaceutical sciences is relatively young science however it has progressed rapidly during last three decades. In fact advances in Biological sciences coupled with technology and understanding of diseases and their etiology boosted the progress in pharmaceutical sciences.

Pharmaceuticals manufacturing sector in India is one of the biggest in the world pharmaceuticals manufactured in India are exported to almost all over the world and hence India is considered as the “Pharmacy of the world”. Competent pharmacy graduates and postgraduates are needed all the while to cater to the needs of pharmaceutical industry in India. Moreover skilled pharmacy professionals are required in great numbers to serve the health care sector as hospital pharmacists, Clinical pharmacists,drug information scientists,clinical research associates, Pharmacovigilence officers for rational drugs use in both India and aboard. In addition pharmacy professionals with sound knowledge and excellent skills are required in pharmaceutical regulatory and research and development department.

Krishna College of Pharmacy shall strive to achieve it’s goals consistent to mission and vision statement, through innovative teaching, training and research activities. It shall be our priority to generate pharmacy professionals competent enough to cater to the health care (especially pharmaceutical care) needs of community at large; and be able to face confidently the global health care challenges.

We are committed to pay sincere attention to provide energized expert faculty and quality of education as reflected by accreditation by national regulatory bodies. While doing this we shall leverage our existing strengths and capabilities for maximum benefit of all stakeholders especially required to cater to the upcoming needs and aspirations of students.

Rules & Regulations
  • A student is expected to read the notice put up on the notice board on the college. The college accepts no responsibility for loss of any advantage by the students due to his failure by read the notice in time.
  • In case, a student require to remain absent for the some reason he/ she will be required to take the prior permission of the class teacher.
  • Any damage to the college property, apparatus, furniture, equipment, library books, building etc. must be liable to dues immediately by the student concerned.
  • A student shall not go to the press or any other publicity area without permission of the principal.
  • Students must attend the social and national programme organized by the college.
  • A student will be bound by the rules & regulations framed by the college from time to time.
  • Students, if found indulging in anti-national activities contrary to the provisions to act or laws enforced by Govt. will be liable to be expelled from the college without any prior notice by the principal of the college.
  • Students must carry a principal-signed ID card and present it when asked. Entry without an ID card is prohibited and will be strictly dealt with.
  • Ragging of students in any form within or outside the college and hostel is strictly prohibited as per the provision of Act.
  • Smoking, Drinking (alcohol) and use of drugs are strictly prohibited in the premises of the college and hostel.
  • Students must use apron while working in laboratories. (Theory & Practical)
  • Students must maintain over 80% attendance in theory and practicals. Poor attendance, progress, or conduct may lead to denial of the academic year and exam eligibility.
