Krishna Charitable Trust was established in 1974 by Late Hon. Jaywantrao Krishnarao Bhosale, to whom the credit for the socio-economic upliftment of the area, covering 5 talukas of Satara and Sangli districts, goes. His foresight, vision, ceaseless efforts, and rare organizational ability were the driving forces behind the establishment of Krishna Charitable Trust. Late Hon. Jaywantrao Bhosale founded the trust with philanthropic objectives, including providing medical relief in the form of a hospital, advancing medical education through a medical college, paramedical schools, and general education schools, promoting medical research, raising health awareness among the rural public, and offering prevention and relief of sickness to the rural poor.

Krishna Charitable Trust’s primary mission is to provide holistic healthcare and educational opportunities to the rural population, ensuring their overall well-being and development. The trust envisions a society where medical care and education are not privileges but fundamental rights accessible to all, irrespective of economic background.
